Sometimes
it is hard
to grow up
and be a young woman
and start preparing to be a wife
and a mom
and an adult in general.
Sometimes it is really hard.
Especially when there is a hurt little girl inside,
a little girl crying out for love and acceptance and approval and security,
a little girl who is still afraid of her daddy,
a little girl who still aches for that man she's afraid of.
Sometimes it's hard
to move on,
to forgive
to let go
to trust
to heal
when the little girl inside is stomping her foot
and pouting her lip,
crumpled in a sobbing heap
or throwing a temper tantrum
and black and blue,
and bleeding,
bleeding.
Sometimes it's hard.
Sometimes it's really hard.
Sometimes I wonder
if that little girl
will ever learn to trust You.
The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He
will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.

Untitled
it is so freeing
to feel Your love purely
to know that You love me
with no strings attached
to know that You know me thoroughly
that i am safe with You
that i don't have to hide the things i am ashamed of
that You aren't going to try to use me
or abuse me
that You want to help me heal
to think differently
about males
about myself
that Your love comforts me
in the waiting
that You've become
my first true Love.
thank You.

Isaiah 48:10
Daddy,Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.
I know Your desire is for my heart to be pure. This is my desire, too. At least I think it is. Lately I've been seeing how little I really know myself. I take solace in knowing that You have created me and know me fully, even when I do not know myself.
I know that testings and trials are so good -- I even know this in my heart, not just in my head. But sometimes I feel a bit squeezed.
Right now, I feel You turning up the heat in the furnace. Sometimes it makes it difficult for me to keep my gaze locked on You. The scorcing flames lick at my soul and stir up all sorts of dross inside of me.
I want to be gold. I want to be silver - pure - without the dross. I want to see You. I want my heart to beat with Yours.
I am grateful to know that You're in this furnace with me. Thank You for not demanding that I walk perfectly through this season, but for simply accepting my best try.
All I ask is that You teach me how to receive Your grace.
Love,
Your Daughter
