The story behind this post: In a really big nutshell, God has been calling me into deeper levels of inner healing! Almost a year ago, God set me free from a huge area of pain in my life. Since then, I've been walking in immense freedom, and it has been wonderful! A few months ago, He started revealing deeper levels of hurt that He wants to deal with. The process has been so painful, and I'm currently walking it out. BUT -- I'm so excited about the new freedom that is going to be mine when I get through this!
This entry was me getting real with what is buried deep in my heart. I am slowly learning how to face my imperfection head-on rather than avoiding it or pretending it doesn't exist. At the point of this entry, my heart was screaming for attention, for anything to dull the pain; but at the same time, I was SO afraid to run to God for that comfort.
I totally forgot that I posted this :) Writing was always my 'release' before I was saved. It still helps me to clear my mind and get focused when I feel emotionally haywire! I get a lot of revelation and clarity from God as I put things into words. I think this was just a heartgush putting into words what I was feeling at the time :)
wow :) even better with the story! I used to think old hurts or the way I dealt with other people was separate from my relationship with God. But I am also slowly learning. Several years back something helped me to realize how detached I could be with my emotions and then I realized wow I am doing the same with God, HE wants me to talk to him about my emotions and what's going on inside.
I am so happy to hear that you are still pushing forward in this race.

AMEN! It's amazing how patient God is with us! His kindness definitely cuts through any barriers we attempt to construct against Him :) It's still difficult for me to be open with Him all the time, but He is always pushing me forward! Blessings!
